CONFIDENTIALITY:
ONENESS ORGANISATION (a unit of A To Z Lifestyle Coaching Co) is committed to maintaining high standards of confidentiality and protection of the information that has been provided to us through face to face and online sessions. Personal Information is any information about an identifiable individual or that permits an individual to be identified. Generally, Personal Information does not include your name, business address or business contact information, such as your business title, email address or phone numbers, which you provide to us for business purposes. During your session/s we will discuss things that are relevant to you resolving the issue you are seeing us for. This information is held in the strictest confidence.
You have the right to verify and amend the Personal Information collected by us. You are also free at all times to withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Information. You have the right to access your Personal Information. Please note that these rights are not absolute; however, if we deny your request for access, we will provide reasons for doing so.
EXCEPTIONS TO CONFIDENTIALITY:
There are some situations that may arise when confidentiality codes may be broken by ONENESS ORGANISATION. Although these situations are rare, you should be made aware of them:
- If you threaten to cause harm to yourself, and we believe your threat to be serious, then we are ethically required to protect you in any way we see fit. In situations such as these, our intervention may involve talking to you about going to a hospital. We may also need to call a crisis team or, in some cases, the police.
- Likewise, if you threaten to harm another person, we are required by law to protect anyone we feel may be in danger. This could include making contact with the person or people who have been threatened and, in some cases, notifying the police.
- If we suspect that any child, elderly person, or vulnerable person is at risk from abuse or neglect, the law requires us to report this to the appropriate authorities. Laws such as these are enforced to protect any vulnerable people from being hurt.
RETENTION:
The amount of time we will retain your Personal Information will vary depending on the services we have provided to you and the nature of the Personal Information we hold. This period typically extends past your immediate relationship with the company but will be only as long as it is necessary for us to maintain sufficient information to respond to any issues that arise at a later date and as required by your continued engagement with the company services for multiple sessions booked in advance. Once the Personal Information is no longer needed, we will utilize the procedures we have in place to safely destroy, delete, erase, or otherwise dispose of the information. ONENESS ORGANISATION does not sell Personal Information to third parties.
ONLINE SESSIONS:
If the participant chooses to engage in sessions online via Zoom or any other agreed online video platform, he/she understands that communicating via the Internet is not 100% secure.
The following points apply:
- Please familiarize yourself with the privacy policy and security/encryption levels of the online platform you are using for your session. The ONENESS ORGANISATION is not responsible for any outside-party breaches to the online video platform’s security measures or unauthorized access to your personal or confidential information.
- The ONENESS ORGANISATION uses the Zoom online video platform for virtual sessions.
- You will require a webcam or smartphone for the session.
- It is important to be on time and in a quiet, private space that is free of distractions (including mobile phone or other devices) during the session.
- It is important to use a secure internet connection rather than public/free Wi-Fi.
- A back-up plan is required (e.g., a phone number where you can be reached) to restart the session or to reschedule it, in the event of technical difficulties. We will continue attempts to restore the web-based connection for a maximum of 5 – 10 minutes before the session could be rescheduled/cancelled/terminated.
- Participants residing outside of the UAE understand that if they are experiencing an emergency, seriously considering harming themselves (suicide), or considering harming someone else then they should immediately go to a local mental health hospital or facility or call their national helpline.
